Cinegear 2014: Blackmagic Design Studio Camera

At Cinegear 2014, we got an update on Blackmagic’s Studio Camera. Again, Tina Eckman of Blackmagic Design takes us through the features and specs of the Studio Camera. If you are planning on doing live or live to tape broadcasts from anything from news, talk shows, podcasts to church services, to education, you should be thinking about this camera.

The HD camera uses the same sensor as the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera.  The studio camera packs a 10” viewfinder, 4 hour battery, talkback, tally indicators, phantom powered microphone connections and built in optical fiber and SDI connections that let you connect to your switcher with a single cable.

Shipping News

As of Friday, June 4, 2014, the HD version is now shipping at $1,995. The 4k version will be available in the Fall at $2,995.
